This project entailed designing a comprehensive set of tool icons for a market-leading Geographic Information System (GIS) software. The icons appear in ribbons and throughout the interface, representing a wide range of advanced mapping, analysis, and geospatial tools. Creating them required extensive research and deep understanding of highly technical functionalities to ensure each icon conveyed its purpose with clarity and precision. The design process balanced visual consistency with intuitive symbolism, resulting in a cohesive iconography system that improves user navigation and productivity. These icons not only align with the software’s professional brand but also enhance usability for both expert and new users in a complex, high-tech environment.
